Yueh Ju "Melody" Hsiao , DMD, MS

Dr. Melody Hsiao (pronounced "Shao") is the latest member of our practice to have studied at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where she received her dental degree in 2008. Following a General Practice Residency At Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown, PA., Dr. Hsiao completed her Periodontal and Oral Implant residency at Temple University in 2014. With board certifications as a Diplomate of American Board of Periodontology and International Congress of Oral Implantology, Dr. Hsiao continues SKY Perio's history of all of our doctors having the highest level of credentials in our specialty.

Dr. Hsiao is an experienced clinician, having practiced for 7 years in the faculty practice at Temple University, and is a proven leader in our field in her role as Temple University's Graduate Periodontology and Oral Implantology Clinical Director (2020-2022) and Program Director (2022-2026). Additionally, she has received numerous honors, including first place in Science in Dental Research (2014), OKU  Dental Honor Society membership since 2015, and the The American Academy of Periodontology Educator Award (2015 and 2024). In addition to teaching, Dr. Hsiao was an associate in a private practice in Pennsylvania for the past 10 years.

After growing up in Taiwan, Dr. Hsiao moved to the US for high school and college. She currently resides in Philadelphia. Hiking and traveling are some of the things Dr. Melody enjoys when she is out of the office.
